Aanderaa is Cluster Company of the Year

This year's winner of the Cluster Company of the Year Award is Aanderaa Data Instruments AS.

Cluster Company of the Year Award is presented by GCE Ocean Technology and Sparebanken Vest. The price consists of 80,000 NOK for development projects in the company, a diploma and an artwork which this year was by local artist; Marianne Skjelbred.

The objective with the award is to recognize cluster members who have excelled in contributing to the development of the cluster GCE Ocean Technology. Furthermore, to contribute to the development and commercialisation of cluster companies that offer products, concepts and services within the ocean technology industry, and who has managed to grow their company.

The award is handed out every year under the Underwater Technology Conference.

The Jury’s Reasoning

Aanderaa Data Instruments AS has shown a high level of maturity and a strong existing and future business potential. The company has also demonstrated an excellent attitude towards contributing to the development of the GCE Ocean Technology cluster.

The last five years, Aanderaa has proven their innovative capabilities by penetrating new markets with new sensors and solutions – markets such as next generation seafood farms and offshore renewable energy, says Owe Hagesæther, CEO in GCE Ocean Technology.
