About us

We bring together more than 100 partners and members across the offshore energy value chain: subsea, oil and gas, renewable energy, carbon capture and storage, and marine minerals.

From subsea in 2006 to ocean technology in 2016, and now the full energy system.

We started out in Bergen as a subsea cluster and became GCE Ocean Technology ten years later.

Now we have joined forces with Energy Transition Norway in Stavanger and Energy Valley in Oslo to form Energy Cluster Norway (ECN). ECN is a company in its own right and represents more than 350 member companies across Norway.

ECN connects companies across sectors and regions, so Norwegian industry can innovate faster, reach further and lead the development of the full energy system.

What this means for our members

Still right here in Bergen

Nothing changes locally. You get the same team at Thormøhlensgate 51, the same activities and the same close follow-up. ECN’s organisation is still taking shape, and we will keep you updated along the way.

What we do

We help our partners and members succeed in national and global energy markets. In practice, that means we:

• create meeting places, from member gatherings to conferences like Science Meets Industry
