This week, we had the privilege of talking with Cecilie Sælen from CCB Subsea.

Our interview took place amidst her busy schedule with presenting the groundbreaking Mechanical Umbilical-less installation of Tubing Hangers on subsea completions (THRUT) at the SPE Offshore Europe event held in Aberdeen.

1. What is your role at CCB Subsea?

I am the CEO.

2. Your primary focus at work right now is?

My primary focus is supporting our organisation to maintain high quality of services and delivery of products in a high demand marketplace.

In parallel following up on clients and cooperation partners with relations to the exciting projects we are running together with aim for success for all parties.

3. Biggest challenges and opportunities for CCB Subsea in the future?

The biggest challenge is the limited number of resources this industry is facing with serving projects both within oil & gas and renewables.

Biggest opportunity is how our company can contribute with new concepts and methodologies for more safe, efficient and less resource demanding operations.

I believe we can make a difference through our strategy to seek cooperation with operators and suppliers.

4. Best part of being member in a cluster?

Best part of being member in a cluster is the networking, sharing knowledge and experiences, get better insight on market and technology, and support each other to succeed.

5. Your business/life motto

Be open and honest to build trust which is the basis for cooperation and successful business. Don’t be too afraid to share, trust that you have the will and power to do it best – or you just have to improve and do better.
