Connect with IAESTE to get access to highly qualified and motivated international interns. This is an excellent opportunity to gain new knowledge and expand your international network.

GCE Ocean Technology has renewed our collaboration agreement with IAESTE Bergen, which facilitates international student exchange. You can get access to students from a period of 6 weeks up to 18 months. The programme is a great way to strengthen your company’s competence and international network.

Tasks and costs

The company is responsible for defining suitable tasks and supervising the intern at work. IAESTE requires that the intern receives a minimum wage of NOK 25.000,- per month, but beyond this the wage is at the discretion of the employer.

IAESTE takes care of all the paperwork and practical matters of bringing the intern to Norway, while also providing a social programme to give the intern an enjoyable experience. There is an administration fee of NOK 10 000,- per student associated with this process.

Timeline and how it works

  • January: Application deadline to join the coming year’s exchange programme and get interns, starting in June.
  • March/April: The nomination process is ongoing, and the companies will be contacted about relevant candidates for their internship positions.
  • June- December: Interns do their internship and the local IAESTE committee helps the intern with practical and social programs.
