Apply for pre-project funding to kick-start your idea

If you have an RDI-projects with potential to increase export and decrease global emissions, you can apply for pre-project funding from GCE Ocean Technology. Last application deadline before the summer is 10 June.

GCE Ocean Technology’s partners and members can apply for up to 250.000 NOK in pre-project funding intended to mobilise and conceptualise larger RDI projects.

Our Focus Areas

We are looking for innovative ideas that can assist Norway in reducing the CO2 emission by 50% and increase the export, excluding oil and gas, with 50% by 2030. This joint challenge has been defined by the cluster as The 50-50 Challenge and we are looking for projects within the following main markets:

  • Low emission subsea oil and gas solutions
  • Offshore renewable energy
  • CCUS and hydrogen
  • Marine minerals

It is an advantage if the projects are related to our generic technology areas:

  • Autonomy; including sensing, communication, machine learning/AI
  • Sharing and circular economy

Projects that are relevant for several markets and/or combining the points above will be prioritized.

We can help you with applying for external funding

Involving us at an early stage in your application process allows us to provide you with better guidance regarding the optimal support scheme for your idea or project. Where possible, we will encourage and assist companies to apply for other sources of funding. Please contact Jon Hellevang to discuss how we can contribute to realising your idea.

Awarded funding

OneSubsea Processing recently received 8.6 million NOK to develop an all-electric subsea pump for the offshore industry. GCE Ocean Technology supported OneSubsea with project funding advise.

GCE Ocean Technology provides financial and professional support to establish externally funded RDI projects.

Our partners and members can apply for pre-project funding from GCE Ocean Technology to form the basis for larger RDI projects.

GCE Ocean Technology has so far helped secured about 2 billion NOK in external funded RDI projects runned and owned by the cluster companies.
