- support progress towards a low-emission society by 2050
Provide your input
More than 1,000 people from industry, academia, public authorities and other organisations have contributed to the process. Based on these contributions, ten strategic areas have been proposed.
You can download the draft strategy for consultation and submit your comments through the consultation form by 22 October.
The final strategy will be presented on 1 December 2026.
Guiding public and private R&D investment
Energi2050 builds on the foundations established by Energy21 and OG21 while incorporating emerging areas of importance for Norway's future energy system.
– These research strategies have played an important role in guiding public funding programmes and research priorities in Norway, R&D Manager in GCE Ocean Technology.
The Energi2050 strategy will help define the direction for future collaboration between industry, academia and government. I encourage all stakeholders to review the strategy and provide their input during the consultation period
