Through Nordic Energy Matchbox, we connect real industrial challenges with startups and scaleups working in environment, energy and technology.
The concept has been developed in collaboration between Energy Transition Norway, Innovation Dock and Validé, with the aim of creating stronger and more targeted connections between industry and innovation ecosystems.
In collaboration with Equinor and Aker BP, we present clearly defined challenge areas that industry genuinely wants solved.
We invite startups, scaleups, and relevant university and research environments that can act as potential problem-solvers - and that want insight into what the market is actually looking for.
Insight Session – February 12
You now have the opportunity to join the very first session: the Insight Session, taking place on Thursday, February 12.
During this session, Equinor and Aker BP will present five concrete challenge areas where they are seeking better solutions. This session is an arena to:
understand the context behind the challenges
ask questions directly to those who own the problems
explore where technology and new solutions can create commercial value
This is not a pitch day. Participants do not present solutions - instead, they listen, learn, and map opportunities.

What’s next: Pitch Session – April 22
After the Insight Session, we hope participants will gain a deeper understanding of real market needs. This insight can serve as an important guide for further development.
If you identify one or more relevant solutions, you will have the opportunity to apply to participate in the Pitch Session on April 22. To pitch, you must submit an application.

Selected applicants will be invited to focused sessions to explore potential matches with relevant challenge owners and industry experts.
These sessions provide an opportunity to discuss relevance, explore alignment, and gain insight into what is required for further technical dialogue.
The conversations are non-binding, but may represent an important step toward pilot projects or future procurements.
