SAMwind Visits Newcastle

This week, several participants from the SAMwind Project attended the annual Energetic Future Conference in Newcastle, where this year’s theme was “Green Industrial Partnership – from Ideas to Action.”

One of SAMwind’s key objectives is to help identify industrial companies in Vestland with the potential to become suppliers to the European offshore wind market.

The UK is a particularly important market, and the trip to Newcastle offered valuable insights into ongoing and upcoming offshore wind projects.

The SAMwind group also visited the Port of Blyth, where they received a warm welcome from both the port administration and the companies they met. The visit provided inspiration, new connections, and fresh perspectives on cross-border collaboration within offshore wind.

You’ll be able to read more about the visit — and highlights from the conference — in next week’s newsletter.
