GCE Ocean Technology is strengthening our team with the appointment of Atle Dåvøy as Innovation Manager.

He joins the cluster from his role as Chief Operating Officer at CCB Energy Holding and brings with him broad experience from the industry including several of our partner and member companies, among them TechnipFMC and CCB.

– Atle is a great addition to our team. He combines technical insight with operational and strategic experience and is well-equipped to support innovation and collaboration across the cluster, says Owe Hagesæther, CEO of GCE Ocean Technology.

Atle has a background from the Royal Norwegian Navy, where he specialised in sonar electronics, and holds a degree from BI Norwegian Business School.

– I’m really looking forward to contributing to a tech cluster that’s focused on green transition and sustainable growth in the ocean industries. I’m proud and humbled to help build collaborations, spark synergies, and strengthen industrial symbiosis – which I believe will be key to staying competitive in the global ocean and energy markets, says Atle Dåvøy.

In his new role, Atle will play a leading role in developing GCE Ocean Technology’s services within offshore renewable energy – with a particular focus on offshore wind.

He will be responsible for initiating, developing and managing collaborative innovation projects, and will lead the cluster’s Renewable Energy Resource Group.

He will also create arenas for collaboration and business development, maintain and expand networks with members, partners and stakeholders nationally and internationally, and contribute to knowledge-sharing by developing and delivering courses and presentations.

– Innovation is a core part of our mission, and Atle will play a central role in developing initiatives that support sustainable growth and international competitiveness for our partners and members, Hagesæther adds.

Atle Dåvøy assumed his new role on 2 June. Feel free to reach out to Atle to discuss how you can get involved with our projects and services.
