Technical Programme Launch

We are excited to launch the technical programme for the Underwater Technology Conference (UTC) in Bergen in June.

From its very beginning, the Underwater Technology Conference (UTC) has been a forum for discussing and progressing ways the subsea industry can tackle the challenges it faces.

From meeting the demanding needs of deepwater and diverless operations to addressing cost efficiency and the digital transformation, our technical sessions have not been afraid to ask – and answer – the difficult questions.

Theme of 2020

UTC 2020: Enabling Smarter Solutions will ask the hard questions and put forward the potential solutions to meet them. We want to tackle how we continue to meet global energy demand while also decarbonising our industry and finding low-carbon solutions for others.

We have to be smart. We have to think differently. And that was our goal when we chose this year’s bumper crop of technical papers for this year’s four parallel technical session themes: field of the future; subsea energy solutions; greenfield deep and ultra-deep subsea technology; brownfield and tieback technologies

We will bring you highlights of the agenda in the weeks and months to come. Meanwhile, please browse the programme.

We hope you will enjoy the breadth and depth of what you find and we look forward to you joining us at this year’s UTC.
