The nomination round for the SPIR award is now open and they are looking for Norwegian candidates with green technology.

SPIR is an annual award for green technology that is awarded by PwC, BKK, Bergen Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Bergen Næringsråd) and Energy and Climate (ENERGI OG KLIMA).

The purpose of the award is to highlight Norwegian innovation and business development that can help accelerate the transition to a fossil-free society, and to highlight the stories of the people behind the progress.

The winner receives professional expertise from PwC worth 75.000 NOK and a cash prize of 50.000 NOK from BKK.

The award will be handed out during Fornybarkonferansen in Bergen 20 April.

Who Can be Nominated

Candidates who wish to be nominated for SPIR must:

  • Be established in Norway.
  • Have a product, service or technology that will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and have business potential.
  • Be past the idea stage, but not yet well established in the market.
