Offshore wind energy in the North Sea will be a cornerstone in accelerating scale up of renewable energy in Europe the coming years. Denmark is building energy islands and Norway is accelerating offshore wind power production in the North Sea. Both countries are keen to enable private competences in the strong offshore energy supply chain.

Join us to hear from Shell, Ørsted, Equinor, Statnett and the City of Esbjerg in discussing how to utilize the huge potential of renewable power in the North Sea and ensure new innovations, technology and business opportunities.

Hear from several of the previous participants of our Ocean Tech Scaleup Programme and how they have learnt from the best about scaling philosophies, strategic tools and the mindset needed to develop their businesses to grow and expand.

The Ocean Tech Scaleup programme is a collaboration between BI Norwegian Business School, Kongsberg Innovasjon, Stiftelsen Teknologiformidling, Martin Trust Centre for Entrepreneurship MIT in Boston, Sparebanken Vest and GCE Ocean Technology.

Transition to a nature positive economy

Everyone is talking about how technology from the oil and gas industry will create new jobs for the future. This session highlights living examples where technology from the Norwegian oil and gas industry has been adopted into green industries. 10 companies with 3-minute pitches about their solutions is followed by a debate about how we best can transition to a nature positive economy.

In panel is: Gine Wang-Reese (DNB), Sturla Henriksen (UN Global Impact), Egil Tjåland (NTNU), Karoline Andaur (WWF) and Geir Ove Karlsen (Aker Offshore Wind).

In collaboration with: GCE Node, NCE Energy Valley, GCE Blue Maritime, Norwegian Energy Solutions and Energi i Nord (Far North Energy) clusters as well as Offshore Norway, GCE Ocean Technology and Innovation Norway.
