SAMvind interim report is out
Does Vestland have what it takes to become Norway's leading offshore wind region? The potential is there, but it depends on the bases, municipalities and industry working together.

That's the key finding in the first interim report from SAMvind, our collaboration project on spatial planning and market opportunities for offshore wind in Vestland.
Here are a few more takeaways:
- No single base can do it all: CCB Ågotnes, Hanøytangen, Wergeland Base and Fjord Base complement each other.
- Distance isn't everything. Deep quays, land, heavy-lift capacity and skilled people matter just as much. The networks work. Municipalities and bases want to keep collaborating after the project ends.
